Comme nous allons regretter les merveilleux moments passés à Northwood, les discussions animées autour d’un délicieux repas arrosé de bon vin... et l’indispensable gin tonic pour commencer les soirées ! Nous nous souviendrons toujours du plaisir de John à boire du rhum arrangé sur la terrasse à Saint-Pierre tout en contemplant l’Océan Indien et les montagnes de Cilaos.

I played squash with John for nearly 48 years and I was privileged to enjoy John's sense of fairplay and lots of humour,followed by pints of Guinness and putting the world to rights.Myrtle and I enjoyed many Christmas parties at The White House,and John's great dry sense of humour at Glyndebourne.
We shall miss him greatly and he will always be in our thoughts.
